Today I subscribed to MeetEdgar.com. It’s a Social Media Management & Scheduling Tool. The entry pricing plan is $50/month for 1,000 posts on 10 social media accounts. You can increase it if you have need of more.
Why did I subscribe to MeetEdgar? I have to establish a regular social media schedule. I’m planning on publishing the sequel to The Enchanted Rose soon and I’ll be doing a promo. I won’t have the time to juggle everything. And truth be told, I’ve been slacking off on social media. I haven’t had a consistent web presence. As a result I have a low number of followers, which means lower visibility. I have around 180 Twitter followers and a handful of Facebook friends with under 60 likes for my Facebook page. This is something else that I plan to work on in the upcoming year.
What do I hope to gain? I’m hoping a consistent social media presence will translate into increased visibility which in turn will turn into more sales.
What do I like about MeetEdgar.com so far? The interface is simple and super easy to use. I managed to upload two weeks’ worth of content in a couple of hours. I really hope they don’t start playing around with the interface and make it complicated (usually why I give up on sites).
It allows me to make a schedule and separates my posts into categories. It also gives me statistics on the content I post.
What do I wish it had? It would be great if if had the ability to post to Tumblr and Instagram. That would complete my social media circle.
